St. Basil's Photo Gallery is designed to allow you to view images from a Parish
Event quickly and easily.
The layout of the Photo Gallery is as follows (definitions of each follow) :
| Term | Definition |
| Thumbnail Photo | A smaller representation of a larger photo. Thumbnails are considerably smaller in size, and therefore download to your computer quickly. |
| Thumbnail Scroll Bar | An area you may manipulate to quickly scan all available photos in this gallery. |
| Scroll Button | Buttons which allow you to move through all
available thumbnails in this gallery. Note: A dark Scroll Button indicates that additional Thumbnail photos reside in that direction on the Thumbnail Scroll Bar. A white Scroll Button indicates that no addition photos reside in that direction on the Thumbnail Scroll Bar. |
| Photo Display Area | Clicking on a Thumbnail Photo in the Scroll Bar will cause the larger version of that Thumbnail to appear in the Photo Display Area for your viewing pleasure. |
| Caption Display Area | Each Photo may be stored with a caption. If it exists, the caption will be displayed here. |
By making use of the Left and Right Scroll Buttons, you can easily scan through all the photos stored in this gallery.
Clicking on any of the Thumbnail Photos will display that photo and its associated caption in their appropriate display areas.
Holding your mouse over any photo for a few seconds will cause the caption for that photo to appear.
If you need additional room on your monitor to view the entire gallery, press the F11 button on your keyboard. That will minimize most menu and toolbars, maximizing your viewing space. Press F11 to return to Normal viewing mode.

The Photo Gallery used by St. Basil's Web Site is designed mainly for Microsoft
Browsers. However, Netscape users can also take advantage of our Photo Galleries,
allowing you to view the images you want from a Parish Event quickly and with relative
ease. There are slight variations from the Microsoft Browser which will be
pointed out below.

In Netscape there are no Left and Right Scroll Buttons, allowing you to easily scan through all the photos stored in this gallery. Instead, if there are more thumbnails than can be displayed in the Thumbnail Display Bar, the Thumbnails will simply continue to display to the right of the Display Bar until all Thumbnail photos are displayed. You may use your Browser's Left/Right Scroll Bar to view the Thumbnails.

If you need additional room on your monitor to view the entire gallery, use the minimize buttons, located in the lower left corner of any menu or button bar. The following picture shows the location of the Minimize buttons:
