| The Parish Pastoral Council assists the Pastor
in promoting the spiritual growth of the parish community and in planning ways
for the parish to carry out the mission of the Church. The Council is regulated
by the norms issued by the Bishop of the Cleveland Diocese as well as a locally
written constitution. This consultative body deals with Pastoral planning and
policies. The Council consists of a minimum of fifteen members serving a three-year term. These terms are staggered so that one third of the members are selected each year. Members are limited to two consecutive terms. The Pastor and members of the Pastoral Staff are permanent members of the Council. Meetings are held monthly, and are open to all members of the parish. Notices of meetings are published in the Parish Bulletin and on the Parish Calendar. The agenda is prepared by the Executive Board of the Council. Topics brought to the Council by parishioners must be submitted in writing at least two weeks prior to the scheduled meeting. A subcommittee of the parish Pastoral Council is responsible for communicating information regarding parish programs and activities to all parishioners on a regular basis.
