TRACK AND FIELD: St. Basil sponsors a Track and Field program for 2nd – 8th grade boys & girls who are Parishioners of St. Basil the Great OR St. Michael. Children enrolled in PSR or attending St. Michael School are also eligible to participate.

**2nd Graders are eligible to participate in the Track and Field season per the CYO By-Laws. St. Basil Athletic Association (CYO) Covid Monitoring and Expectations

St. Basil CYO Covid Monitoring Questions:  Please be aware that all participants in St. Basil CYO Athletics will be asked the following 3 questions prior to being admitted into the Family Life Center for a practice, or to any site or facility for a game.  All participants will also have their temperature taken on site via a non-contact thermometer.  Note:  Anyone presenting with a fever greater than 100.4, or answering YES to any of these questions will not be permitted to enter the facility.  Please monitor your athlete prior to bringing them to practice.

  1. Are you currently experiencing any of the following symptoms: Cough, Body Aches, Sore Throat, Lost of Taste or Smell, Chest Pain?
  2. Have you or anyone in your householdbeen exposed to an individual known or presumed to be positive for Covid-19 in the past 10 days?
  3. Have you traveled outside the State of Ohio to a State Currently on the Ohio list of high Covid-19 incidence states in the past 10 days?

Note that #2 does mean that if a member of your household has been contact traced and put into quarantine, we ask that your athlete refrain from participating until the quarantine period has elapsed for all members of your household.

Critically, we expect that all families maintain a transparent stance with respect to positive Covid-19 tests, and notify the St. Basil Athletic Director, Sport Commissioner or Coach promptly if your athlete has tested positive or has been contact traced to a positive Covid-19 case.  This will help us minimize exposure of other teammates and families.  We hope to have a long season, and missing 2 practices is a small price to pay to help maintain the health and safety of our program.  Thank you.
